ERTZ festival will participate as special guest at RETROSPECTA
99_08, title of the 10th International Creation meeting SENSXPERIMENT.
This event that will happen from 23th october to 1st november
in Lucena and Córdoba (spain) invites this time to
some spanish festivals, platforms, colective and artists that
had been working for the last decade on the sound art adn
music fields.
ERTZ will do some presentation, sound actions, concerts and
film screenings, one of them dedicated to [UN]COMMON SOUNDS
documentary. As ERTZ guests ALEX MENDIZABAL, MARCELLO LIBERATO,
IÑIGO TELLETXEA and XABIER ERKIZIA will participate
in Retrospecta.

“Ver, tocar, saborear, oler, oír…percibimos
y sentimos el entorno a partir de nuestros sentidos, y a la
vez el
propio entorno condiciona nuestra forma ser. Esta exposición
trata sobre el sonido, el entorno sonoro y la escucha. El
título que hemos utilizado es Entzungor, una palabra
en euskara que hace referencia a quien no quiere oír,
y precisamente nos tendríamos que preguntar si es ese
nuestro caso: de la misma manera que podemos mirar sin ver,
quizás oímos sin escuchar.”

GAIZKA SARASOLA & XABIER ERKIZIA: Ez naiz deusen jabe
Second full-length album by Gaizka Sarasola and Xabier
Erkizia, mixing, as they did with their first album “Ixuriak”
(2004), basque traditional sounds with contemporary elements.
An effort to keep working on the same path they opened with
that first album completely recorded at open spaces, but working
from the studio with the aim to work on a more complex and
rich sound. Each cd comes packaged in a handmade wooden box
and a booklet with all lyrics..
